The map is not loading
Try refreshing the page or switching networks.
Dropdowns (Country/State/Buoy) aren’t updating
This usually means JSON didn’t load correctly. Try a hard refresh:
Cmd + Shift + R (Mac) or Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows).
Buoy & Sensor Issues
A buoy shows “No Data”
The buoy may be offline due to weather, calibration, or signal loss. It will automatically reconnect when ready.
Data looks incorrect or delayed
High seas, GPS drift, or calibration can temporarily affect readings. Refresh after a few minutes.
API & Chart Issues
API requests are failing
Ensure you're using the correct endpoint. If the issue persists, check the system status at stormsurgetracker.com/status.
Charts are not updating
Cached data can prevent live updates. Clear your cache or use a hard refresh.
